Marian finishes in final four at MHSAA Finals

EAST LANSING – They were in seventh place after day one of the MHSAA Division 3 Golf Finals, but that didn't stop the Marian squad from making a move on the final day to finish fourth in the 18-team field.

The Mustangs (729) were led by Senior Ashley Carroll, who recorded an 81 on day one and an 84 on day two. Carroll (165) finished 7th overall, claiming a spot on the all-state team.

CHSL rival Cranbrook (694) completed an amazing season winning the tournament by outlasting Grosse Ile (700).

Colleen Hand (176), Stella Lowman (176) Shannon Snyder (201) followed Carroll in the Marian scoring, while freshman Campbell Whitty (242) gained invaluable finals experience that will benefit the Mustangs for years to come.
